Trust & Safety · San Francisco
I work at the intersection of policy design and measurement. I think a lot about how human values become content rules, how those rules operate at scale, and whether they actually reduce harm. At the Meta Oversight Board, I lead technical research evaluating the impact of safety decisions. Before that, at the Stanford Internet Observatory, I conducted influence operations research that informed both platform policy and public understanding of online abuse. Now I'm bringing that same framework to AI safety, where the questions of how to measure and mitigate harm are still being defined. My work has been cited by The New York Times Editorial Board and published in Journal of Online Trust and Safety, Lawfare, and Brookings.
